As a follow up to our blog announcement on September 20th heralding our plans to host the Global Assured Identity Network POC, we are delighted to kickoff our GAIN POC pre-launch “listening tour.” The objective of these sessions is to gather input for shaping the Community Group program targeted to launch in December of this year.
All are welcome and you can participate in any of the following upcoming forums:
1. Join us at the OIX Trust Identity Conference hybrid event on 14th October. There will be a hybrid (on site/remote) GAIN POC focused event on the 15th from 10am-12pm.
2. Join us at the FIDO Authenticate Conference the following week. The hybrid GAIN POC session is in the planning stages for 21st of October.
GAIN POC FAQ
Is there a new organization being developed for GAIN?
NO. The GAIN POC is a collaboration between like-minded stakeholders seeking to collaborate together to test for technical global interoperability in a safe, open space.
Is GAIN a commercial initiative?
NO. The OIDF Community Group offers a sandbox environment for stakeholders to put existing OIDF-based standards to the test and to facilitate broad sharing of all learnings.
Is there a cost to join or any kind of ongoing transaction fees?
NO. The success of the POC depends on broad based participation.
Do you have to be an OIDF member to join the community?
NO. Participants will need to agree to a participation agreement that is suitable to interoperability testing (vs working groups that create / update standards.). The basic OIDF principles of openness and sharing will continue to apply.
Is the GAIN POC limited to financial services use cases?
NO. Any/all IDps and RPs are welcome to test with other participants across a wide range of industry and jurisdictional use cases. The only prerequisite is that stakeholders use existing open standards. Where POC learnings suggest updates/improvements to the standards, these requirements will be fed into the existing OIDF working groups.
Any interested parties should email Donna@oidf.org. Please specify which sessions are of interest and whether you think you will join in person or virtually. Please also use this email directly if you’d like to learn more- especially if you cannot join either of these sessions.
