OpenID Foundation Workshop at Cisco – Monday, October 9, 2023

The OpenID Foundation hosted a hybrid workshop at Cisco in San Jose, CA on Monday, October 9, 2023. We sincerely appreciate Cisco hosting a number of Foundation events including the workshop.

This workshop began with working group updates that also included deeper dives into two new working groups, the Digital Credentials Protocols (DCP) and the AuthZEN working groups. These were followed by FAPI adoption and certification program updates. The rest of the agenda focused on Foundation strategic initiatives. Full agenda is below.

  • Non-profit standards bodies recognize the need for global digital identity infrastructure to better bridge the global north and the global south. At an invite only Summit in Paris November 28th, a selection of leading non-profits, governments and multi-lateral institutions will meet to craft a shared path forward.
